The town of Louisa is the closest source for shopping, and is less than a 30-minute drive from the upper lake area. Many residents of Lake Anna prefer to shop at these locations regardless of the long drive. Charlottesville offers a large number of shopping amenities. They have antique stores, gift shops, clothing and accessories, jewelry shops, and other shopping stores. Two excellent shopping areas in town are Barracks Road Shopping Center and Charlottesville Fashion Square Mall. Barracks Road has over 80 shops that range from dining to services. Charlottesville Fashion Square Mall has 75 exclusive shops and eateries. Fredericksburg has its own Central Park where every recreation, restaurants, shops you can think of is available there. Central Park has an assortment of retail stores that will make your shopping experience incomparable.

The town of Sperryville, one-hour northwest of Culpeper, also offers many antique and other sorts of shops. Drive around Lake Anna or take a stroll at any of the local markets. You might find a perfect Lake Anna shopping place to unwind and enjoy all of the marvelous stores that await you.

I visited Sperryville with my mom and mother-in-law and scored several antiques for our new house; if you like old and new designed mixed you should definitely check their stores because they have tons of knick-knacks that would look great spread all over the house. I scored two white nightstands and two bags of bowls, plates and deco stuff.
